On November 5, 2014, the President of the University of Lüneburg, Mr. Professor Dr. Hartwig Donner, presented the Education – and Innovation Prize 2014. Many visitors followed the invitation of the chairman of the employers’ association Lüneburg-Nordostniedersachsen e.V., Markus Meyer.

The change in the world of work – according to Markus Meyer – places increasing demands on training and development. As an export-oriented and commodity-poor economy, we are facing increasing and international competition. Well-trained employees and innovative production processes are therefore the key criteria for entrepreneurial and economic success.

The aim of the foundation is therefore to promote the necessary training and innovation performance through annual awards. As the foundation of a regional association, it is of particular importance for us to honour the outstanding achievements of small and medium-sized enterprises and to make them known to the public – Markus Meyer.

The Innovation Award was received by the Managing Directors Peter Kaiser and Mathias Rösler. In a short speech, Mathias Rösler thanked and invited all guests to take a tour of the training centre and the 5500 square meters of production halls.
